Clonoulty-Rossmore 2-14 Emly-Sean Treacy’s 3-3

Clonoulty-Rossmore had an easy victory over Emly/Treacys in the Pa Sheehy Butchers minor football championship B final at Dundrum on Wednesday night. The margin of victory, 2-14 to 3-3, in no way flattered them.

The winners were in control from the throw-in and were in front by 1-7 to 1-2 at the interval. The combination score was made respectable by a penalty scored by Adrian Dawson just before half-time.

Matters changed in no way in the second-half as Clonoulty added another 1-7. Emly/Treacys had a second goal from a penalty and they also got their only score from play, a goal by Adrian Dawson, who accounted for 3-1 of their total.
