Emeralds Camogie

Blessing of candles

This week is the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord. We traditionally bless candles to be used in Church and at home on this day. If anyone wishes to have candles blessed they can be dropped into the Sacristy or Church.

Feast of St. Blaise

Monday, 3rd February is the Feast of St Blaise. Blessing of Throats will take place at Mass on Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Monday morning.

Dancing

On Tuesday, 4th February, music by Finbar Dennehy. Supper served. Come and enjoy a great nights entertainment.

Taize Pilgrimage

Couch to 5km

Couch to 5K continues at Emeralds GAA Pitch from 7 to 8pm from Monday to Friday and 12.30 to 1.30 on Sundays. All welcome. Come and join us every night or a couple of nights a week. On Sunday, 16th March we hope to have a 5K walk/jog. With seven weeks to go, it’s never too late to join us. So shake off the cobwebs, pull on your runners and spend an hour out in the fresh air!

Clothing Drive

There will be a clothing recycling drive in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Trust on Sat 1st Feb. Drop your clothes off at any of the designated venues: Urlingford GAA grounds: 11am; Johnstown Church car park 12pm; Crosspatrick Church car park: 1pm; Galmoy GAA grounds: 2pm. Please donate all clean unwanted clothes, bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags and belts and soft toys. Laptops (intact with lead) and mobile phones are also accepted, books (but no school books, magazines or diaries). If you cannot make it to the collection point on the day or if you need clothes to be collected contact Jerry 086 2533547, Margaret 086 8172115. Thank you for your support.
