Ballyskenagh-Killavilla Gaels are holding a table quiz in Brereton’s on April 4th at 9pm. This is a social night to knock heads and who knows you may win!. There will be a huge raffle and some great raffle prizes so come along and join in the fun. Table of four entry is €20.
This year, 83 people will be diagnosed with cancer every single day, and the Irish Cancer Society needs your help to provide the much needed support to these people and their families. This year we are looking for our regular volunteers and anybody else who would be interested in working with us on the 23rd of March. Anyone available to help can call Anne Delaney on (0505) 21831. Those wishing to contribute fresh daffodils can do so at any of our collection points in Roscrea i.e. Bernie’s Supervalu, Dunne’s Stores, Tesco or the Roscrea Centre
Cardiac Responder Group
The Cardiac Responder Unit is a newly formed group in conjunction with the National Ambulance Service who are on call 24/7 all year round covering the Roscrea area to respond to suspected heart attacks and cardiac arrests. There are currently seven volunteer members and we are looking for more volunteers. Training can be provided. There is one member on call 24/7 on a rota basis holding both the emergency mobile phone and defibrillator (AED). Once the call is received they will endeavor to come to your aid in the fastest time possible. An awareness day will be held in Tesco on the 22nd of March. Should you have an emergency firstly call the emergency services on 999 or 112 to request an ambulance. Then contact us on 0860376869 and our fully trained emergency responder will come to your aid.
