Nenagh Macra recently held a Creative Writing competition as part of their first annual literary festival in conjunction with Nenagh library. There was great interest in the competition.

First place prize of €100 went to Con McGrath, with Lisa Meade coming second prize, €60, and third prize of €40 went to Jason Gibbons. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who supported or entered the competition.

A special thank you goes to Margaret Ryan and all at Nenagh library for their help and support.

Meanwhile, on January 10, the North Tipp executive meeting was held in Clodagh Bar, Borrisleigh. It was great to see everyone after the Christmas break and there are many upcoming events to keep us busy over the next couple of months.

A mystery tour is being organised by our social officers Margaret Stanley and Nora Ryan. It will take place on February 1. The bus well be embarking at 11am and the rest is top secret of course.

Please contact your either of the two girls for any information.

Anyone who wants to join Macra please contact us on www.macra.ie or find North Tipp Macra on Facebook.

Moyne / Templetouhy Macra will hold its next meeting this Thursday, January 16, in Quinlans at 9pm. We encourage all members to attend.
