Scór na bPáistí - A huge congratulations to all who represented Holycross/Ballycahill in the Mid Final of Scór na bPáistí, which took place in Littleton last Saturday night, 9th February. We were proud to be there supporting them as they performed to the best of their ability in Figure Dancing; Solo Singing; Instrumental Music and Ballad Group. The children, parents and coaches put in a lot of practice nights but the talent was intense across all categories and we weren’t successful this time around. Congratulations to Jack Ryan who got through in the Recitation category with “Paddy’s Dream”. Jack will represent Holycross/Ballycahill in the County Final in Halla na Féile, Cashel this Sunday, 17th February at 2.30pm. Once again, we would encourage you to come and support Jack Ryan – a huge achievement!

Annual Lenten Food Appeal - Commencing this Sunday, February 17th, parishioners are kindly asked to donate an item of food each Sunday during Lent and at the end of Lent all the food collected will be transported to the most needy. Parishioners over the past years have been very generous with their donations and no doubt their support again this Lent will be much appreciated. The food item for Sunday is Pasta. Bring it with you when coming to Mass and place in the containers provided in the Abbey.
