We kindly remind all householders in both Holycross & Ballycahill to support this parish fund raising event. The organisers are depending on your generosity, please be generous with the items you give, whether it is for auction or for the Wheel of Fortune. Among the most acceptable gifts will be groceries, bottles of wine or spirits, homemade cakes and confectionery, vouchers, boxes of biscuits & chocolates and bric-a-brac (items must be clean and in very good condition), potatoes, vegetables, briquettes and of course timber blocks. Over the years Holycross-Ballycahill Sale of Work has made a name for itself with the trailers of very good timber householders purchased ensuring them great heat from their fireplaces. With the appalling weather conditions forecast for the coming weeks make sure you arrive early to secure your supply of blocks at Sunday’s auction. The many stalls in the Hall will have a variety of items to chose from, raffle tickets are now readily available and will be on sale throughout Sunday. Collectors will call on householders during the next few days and the Hall will be open on this Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. to receive your items for the Sale.
