Golden Choral and Dramatic Society - Golden Choral and Dramatic Society will present ‘Big Maggie’ by John B. Keane on Saturday, December 8th at 8 p.m. in the Community Hall, Golden. Tickets €10 each are available on the night / at the Cornerstone or through our Box Office at (087) 9524283.

Golden Kilfeacle I.C.A. - The November meeting will be held in the Community Centre Kilfeacle on Wednesday, November 14th at 8pm. The speaker on the night will be Mairead Ryan, Moorehaven Centre, Tipperary. She will list the items they produce for the Christmas Season. Hostesses on the night will be Babs Quillinan and Mary Quinlan. Prize will be presented by Breda Kirwan. Mass for the deceased members will be held in Golden church on Monday, November 19th at 7.30pm.

Senior Citizens Christmas Party - The Annual Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, November 25th in Golden Community Centre. Day will start with Mass at 2 p.m. in the Community Centre followed by traditional Christmas dinner and entertainment until

7 p.m. Anyone that might have hamper baskets from last year please return to any committee member for filling.

Walkers Notice - Please note the lights have been on in Golden G.A.A. since Monday, October 29th 7.30pm to 9pm.

Kilfeacle Rugby - Kilfeacle got off to a fine start winning their four opening games under Capt. Shane Luby. Diarmuid Carr, Jack O’Sullivan, Charles Walshe, Stephen Flood and Pack leader Ger Luby are all playing well. Michael Fitzgerald and Michael O’Connell are going great guns on the 2nd Team. Training for adults Wednesday and Friday at 7.30 p.m. Juveniles every friday from 6.15 to 7.30 p.m. The Lotto is going well. The club has contributed over €30,000 to charity in the last five years. Thank you for your support. Boot camp at the Rugby every Wednesday night at 6.30 and Sat Mornings. Great craic and a great way of looking after yourself in good fresh air.

Senior G.A.A. - Congratulations to Shane Stapleton who was a selector of Tipp’s U/17’s who won the Darren Darcy Cup and best wishes for the year ahead as he takes on the role of County Minor Football Selector.

Juvenile G.A.A. - The club will hold a Cookery Demonstration by Ailish Hennessy of Fiacrai House Restaurant in the Community Hall, Golden on Monday, December 3rd. Tickets €10 will be on sale shortly. More details nearer the time. Congratulations to the following players who took part in the County Final Cul Camp skills in Thurles recently. U/12 Hurling Jack Currivan, U/12 Football Alex Ryan. U/10H Eoin Marnane, U/10F Jack Leamy, U/8H Jack Lonergan, U/8F Ben Currivan, U/12 Camogie Jennifer Fogarty, U/12F Stephanie Ryan, U/10C Eimear Heffernan, U/10F Anna Morrissey, U/8C Shauna Casey, U/8F Aisling Morrissey. Eimear Heffernan came 2nd in U/10 Camogie after a playoff. She will receive her medal at half time of the Tipp Senior Hurling National League match next spring.
