Cloughjordan Heritage Centre reopens after Christmas break

The Thomas MacDonagh Centre has reopened following the Christmas break. The centre is open every day except Monday.

The next volume of the local heritage book, Cloughjordan Volume 8, will be published to coincide with the annual Thomas MacDonagh celebrations on the coming May Bank Holiday weekend.

Juvenile AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Kilruane MacDonaghs juvenile club will be held in the clubroom on Friday January 17th at 8pm.

Everybody interested in the promotion of juvenile games in the parish is invited to attend.the MacDonagh juvenile club is one of the most dynamic and vibrant organisations in the community.

It provides a comprehensive programme of coaching and games for all boys from U6 up to U16 and it also organises the annual Cul Camp.

The club is constantly recruiting new personnel to assist in coaching. Joining the club is an ideal way for new arrivals in the locality to forge friendships.

Hurling

Well done to Kilruane MacDonaghs U21 hurler Jack Peters who played with the Tipperary senior hurlers against Offaly in a challenge game in Moneygall last Sunday.

Another local U21 hurler Niall O’Meara is also on the Tipperary panel.

Drama

This year’s production ‘Many Happy Returns’ by the Cloughjordan Drama Group will commence on Friday 17th January in the Parochial Hall at 8pm and will continue for five nights.
