Rahealty NS Rallies To Shoebox Appeal

A leading rural school has rallied in style for the annual National Christmas Shoebox appeal of Team Hope which brings hope to needy children in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Africa annually with their unique project.

A leading rural school has rallied in style for the annual National Christmas Shoebox appeal of Team Hope which brings hope to needy children in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Africa annually with their unique project.

One could be forgiven for thinking that Santa Claus had arrived early for Christmas as colourful parcels, wrapped in Christmas paper, greeted the eye on a visit to the school where Ms Edel Kelly,(Principal) and the staff and pupils, with the help of the parents had organised the Rahealty NS contribution to this worthy cause with the true spirit of Christmas.

School Secretary, Julie Campion, stated fifty five parcels from the famed rural academy noted for its unique mixed rugby and mixed hurling tournaments and, more recently, Gaelic Football, went out from Rahealty NS.
