Referred to as one of the best up-and-coming small shows in the country Dualla Show has been attracting people from all over the country with its mixture of agricultural events, exhibitors and family entertainment set against the backdrop of the historic 17th century Ballyowen House. This year’s expanded livestock section has 72 cattle and sheep classes and over €12,000 in total prize money. The highlight will be the All-Ireland Junior Belgian Blue Breeding Heifer championship and a pot of €600 up for grabs. New classes have been introduced this year for rare breeds, best breeding female and also a class for local handlers within a 5km radius of the show.
In the sheep section, exhibitors will compete in ewe, lamb, hogget and ram classes with one of the highlights being the Champion Zwartbles. In the horse section, a fantastic grand prix showjumping event will be one of the highlights of the day. All horses will be catered for with classes for tiny tots, sportsmans, ponies and horses. In the horse showing section there are 15 in-hand horse classes (no ridden horse classes) and over 20 pony classes both ridden and lead rein (IPS and non-IPS). Returning again after its well received debut last will be The Tipperary Truck Show.
