Great day out promised

Great community effort continues to raise funds to build a children’s playground in Clonoulty, with a Family Fun Day and Cycle to be held in Clonoulty on Sunday 16 in a bid to bolster the coffers.

A 65km cycle, registration for which is at 10am in the GAA clubhouse, will depart at 11am. The E20 registration fee includes family entry to field day and entry into a draw for one night’s B&B at the 5 star Heritage Hotel, Killenard, Portlaoise.

Refreshments and shower facilities will be available for cyclists afterwards.

The Family Fun Day itself will run from 2-6pm and will feature a host of activities for all ages, including bucking bronco, bouncy castle, inflatable table football, face painting, water races, BBQ, kiddies’ corner for tiny tots and lots of fun for all ages, including live musical performances. Entry is free for children and E5 for adults and will include entry to a fantastic free draw for a family pass for Fota Wildlife Park.
