The men at Quigley’s Corner

In early September last an American phtographer and his family stopped off in Paddy Fahey's Ladyswel St to get something to eat. Kevin Horan, from Langley, Virginia a former staff photographer with the Chicago Sun Newspaper had with him a print take on his previous visit to the town in 1978. He inquired as to the names and well being of the men as copy of the photograph hangs in his home and as it was a grabbed shot he didn't know the mens names. A few phone calls provided the answers. All are now deceased L/R. Mikey Keane, Cathal Brugha St Billy O'Dwyer, Upper Friar St Edgar Morrissey, Abbeyside Jack Morrissey, Upper Friar St Johnny Flynn, Dominic St. The men are siting on a bench salvaged from the old town hall, the photo was taken at Quigley's corner Agars Lane.
