Cashel library was a hub of activity last Saturday for the Family Fun Day. Children had their faces painted, listened to stories and did plenty of dancing.
The highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of Munster and Ireland rugby star Denis Leamy! Each child received a hand print of Denis’s hand with his signature, they also got their pictures taken with him as a keepsake of the day. The staff of Cashel library would like to thank Denis for taking the time to call in and meet the children with their parents. Thanks also to Paul Monks and Doreen for the story-time and to Noreen Luby for great face-painting.
Walking Guide Launch
A final reminder that “Tipperary & Waterford: A Walking Guide” by John G O’Dwyer will be launched Con Ryan (Rural Recreation Officer for Co Tipperary) with reception and entertainment beginning at 8pm on Wednesday, April 4, in Kinane’s of Upperchurch. Tea coffee and light bites to follow. All welcome.
Meanwhile, the usual high and moderate level walks next weekend will depart at 11am on Easter Monday, April 9th, rather than Easter Sunday as many of our regular walkers wish to participate on the Easter morning Upperchurch Dawn Ceremony. These walks also offer a final chance for participants of all fitness levels on this year’s Kerry Charity Challenge to get in some practice and meet the walk leaders before the big event.
