St Vincent De Paul Roscrea held its first open /information night recently in their building on Church Street.
The aim was to inform potential new members of the work done here in Roscrea and to provide information about the Society. The whole core of the Society’s work lies in visitation but through time it has taken up other work such as involvement in education and social justice issues, prison visits and hospital visits. In attendance on the night were our Rev. Father Tom Corbett, Regional President John Lupton, Area President Patricia Gleeson and Tom Maher, Visitation Conference President and Vice
President Conty Cunningham along with other members of St Cronans Visitation Conference. “We were delighted with the turnout on the night and the feedback from people interested in volunteering their time was most positive,” said Mr Lupton.
