Thurles Silver Band Play For Suir Haven

Make it a date, Saturday 17th December from 2.30 to 3.30 p.m. at Thurles Shopping Centre where Thurles Silver Band will play Christmas Carols, Jingles and some selection of Marches etc., for this wonderful organisation, Suir Haven, who do so much to help others in the town of Thurles and surrounding areas. So come along and support this worthy cause. The Band have been in Thurles since 1850 in some form or other and at this time of writing has about nine members and five auxiliary members with a total of about 30 instruments. We would welcome new members at any time on Monday nights at the Band Hall at 7 p.m. The Band would like to wish all a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year for 2012.

Thurles Farmers Market Says Thank You

Thurles Farmers Market wish to thank everybody who supported their recent ‘Crafts And Gifts Fair’ which proved to be a great success. It was run in aid of the Thurles branch of St. Vincent de Paul. A total of 400 euro was raised and is being presented to them this week in time for their Christmas Appeal

Thurles Farmers Market also wish to say thank you to all their customers and wish everybody a very Happy Christmas. The Christmas Market will take place on Friday, 23rd December from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Club For Dancing

The Club’s Christmas Party Dance on Sunday, 11th December, was a great night of dancing to the music of ‘Checkers’. M.C. on the night was Joe Troy. The committee would like to thank Hayes, the Arch Bar and staff for the catering on the night.

The Club’s next Dance in the Premier Ballroom, Thurles is on Sunday, 18th December, dancing from 9 - 12, music by ‘Catherine & Images’.
