Members of the public in the Ballingarry area are invited to a public meeting in the Ballingarry Community Centre, next Saturday (Nov. 15) at 7.45pm.
Locals are invited to discuss the future of the Miners Monument, which has been in private ownership for many years.
The owners now wish to re-locate the monument.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Imelda Goldsboro said the entire community is seeking a compromise solution which would be acceptable to all parties involved and it is hoped that the public meeting will help to form concensus and give people a chance to have their say.
All are welcome to come along and express views.
