Enjoyable musical afternoon with Thurles Comhaltas

There was a very enjoyable musical afternoon at the Music classes party on Saturday 27th April in the C.B.S., Hall Street, where over 20 pupils congregated on the stage in The Halla with their mentors, Kathleen, John and Francis Nesbitt, Miriam Meehan and Jonathon Ryan, and royally entertained us for over an hour.

Branch Cathaoirleach Tom Cormican thanked Kathleen, John and Frances, their helpers Jonathon and Miriam, also Anna Ryan, Leas Cathaoirleach thanked the mentors, parents, and Committee, especially Runai Catherine for all her help. Coiste Craobh Sheain Ui Cheallanain would like to thank Anna Ryan for organising the music classes, and Runai Catherine Meehan and her family for working so hard to make Saturday’s get together such a success. Then we had some light refreshments, then the audience chatted together with the Committee, all in all a very convival end to a very enjoyalbe afternoon.

The Thurles Branch wishes to thank Mr. O’Donnell and C.B.S. Staff for allowing us use of facilities during school term, which is much appreciated. Thanks also to Caretaker Pat for being so helpful to us on Saturday.
