At the launch of 2013 County Tipperary Fleadh in Flanagans, The Quay, Ballina last Saturday 27th April, we had a very entertaining night; when Bord Chontae arrived we were entertained by Lucia and Jack MacPartlin joined by Denise and Blaithin Ni Chinneide, Manus Heenan, and Cinneide Og.
Later after delicious food the County Cathaoirleach Pat Loughman addressed the audience, explaining how Nenagh Ormond Branch was hosting the 2013 Fleadh in Ballina honouring Brian Boru, Pat thanked the local Fleadh Committee for their enthusiasm and hard work. Leas Cathaoirleach local Paddy Collins replied and thanked Nenagh Ormond and Bord Chontae for acceding to their request to hold this years Fleadh in Ballina and assured us that the local Coiste Fleadh would do all in its power to ensure that this Fleadh was a success.
We then had a lively session with Paul Smith, Noel Bugler, Paddy Collins, Deirdre Scanlan and Mike Hackett, and Denise Kennedy joined in again.
Bord Chontae visited Bun Scoil Beal an Atha on Tuesday 23rd April to confirm and check on rooms for the week-end competitions in School; everything very suitable. The Ceili and Set Dancing will be held in the Parish Hall just down from school on Sunday afternoon.
Johnny Reidy Ceili Band will be in Lakeside Hotel on Sunday 12th May 2.30p.m. to 5.30p.m. a very enjoyable evening is assured.

Annual Congress this week-end in Culturlann, Monkstown on Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th May ( D.V.) Fleadh Rules are up for discussion. Quite a few motions sent in from all Counties. If you have sent in a motion from your Branch, you will need to be there to speak on it.
