A very popular and well known figure over a wide area, Richard had an excellent Tractor and Machinery business, he was very well liked by all his customers for his attention. Community Alert Errill - On Tuesday evening, April 16th a meeting of C/A was held in St. Bernadette’s Hall. Present was Padraigh Farrelly, Crime Prevention Officer, Garda Paul Wilson and Garda Eithne Dunne. The Hall was packed with a wonderful attendance. A new C/A group was formed in Errill with an excellent committee elected and delegates for each area. This is great news, in recent years it was Rathdowney, Errill, Donaghmore but with the arrival of so many undesirables we agreed to change and are very pleased to have everyone alerted and aware of strange cars or events at night. Rathdowney C/A was formed in 1986 and has survived all these years, we lost a valuable Chairman by his death and people moved on. We are forming a new committee in Rathdowney with only one of the founding members still active in C/A. We will work in hand with Errill and are prepared to attend each others meetings. The Rathdowney contact for alarms is (0505) 46270.
