A.G.M. Postponed - The A.G.M. of Mullinahone C.J.K. has been postponed until Friday, 11th January 2013. As a result nominations for club officers for the coming year have to be resubmitted. Nomination papers have been distributed to members and must be returned to Club Secretary, Eddie McCarthy before Friday, 21st December.
Carol Service - The Christmas season began in Mullinahone on Sunday evening last with a lovely Carol Service in St. Michael’s Church. The Service was provided by our excellent parish choir. The church was full and the service was enjoyed by all. Our thanks to the choir who prepared so hard to provide the selection of carols and readings.
Crocanoir Concert - The curtain comes down on a great year of music in Crocanoir on this Thursday night, 13th December. John and Monika are delighted to welcome Mendocino to Ballycullen. They are a Folk/County band based in the South East of Ireland.
Ladies Football - Mullinahone Ladies Football have had a great 2012. They won the U/14C County Championship, the County U/16C Championship and the County C Junior League. The young ladies will be presented with their medals at a special ceremony in the G.A.A. Hall on this Saturday night starting at 6 p.m. The medals will be presented by Tipperary All-Ireland Minor hurling stars. An update from the County A.G.M. will be given and the Christmas Hamper draw will take place on the night. All are welcome.
St. Vincent de Paul - The Society would like to establish a branch in Mullinahone. Other parishes find it strange that people from Mullinahone go to other parishes for financial help. A branch can only be formed if local parishioners volunteer to take part in this worthy support system.
Cards - Card games, 25’s every Thursday night in Coolagh Hall at 8 p.m. for hams and hampers. All are welcome.
U/21’s Lose - Local supporters were disappointed with the display of our U/21 hurlers in Cloneen on Sunday. The team were beaten in their semi-final by Killenaule.
Bonding with Emigrants - During the 11.30 a.m. Mass on Sunday next, 16th December we will remember our emigrants. It is hoped to call as many as possible of them by name. The parish is totally dependent on families to submit names of their emigrants for inclusion on the list.
Parish News - The Christmas Penitential Service will take place in St. Michael’s Church on Sunday, 23rd December at 7 p.m. Visiting priests will attend.
Month’s Mind Mass - On this Sunday, 16th December at 11.30 a.m. for Sr. Benignus White, Clonlahy (in England) and Rena Ryan, Kyleaduhir.
Priest’s Collection - The Winter collection for the priests and retired priests of the Archdiocese will take place this weekend, 15th and 16th December.
