Cashel Town FC have decided to extend their planned “mini Euros” soccer tournament planned for the first week of August to also include boys aged between 13 and 16 years. The club are looking for players interested in enjoying soccer from around Cashel and the surrounding areas, as the club has big future plans to challenge for honour’s county wide and in national competitions.
The older players will also play in a mini league tournament similar to the one planned for the underage players. However, although this extension is only being planned for boys, Cashel Town Ladies are also interested in finding girls aged between 13 and 18, who are interested in playing schoolgirls and ladies soccer next season. The Tipperary Schoolgirls league will be hosting U14 and U16 leagues over the winter months, and there are already tentative plans to hold a girls youths competition if enough teams show an interest in signing up players. All players are welcome to join the Cashel Ladies senior team, who play in the Tipperary Women’s League.
The underage tournament is planned to be held between July 30th and August 5th, with games being held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights, before final games on the following weekend. Remember, the games are open to young boy’s and girl’s under 8, 10 and 12, and of all abilities, whether children have ever played soccer competitively before or not.
Registration night for players in Halla na Féile on Wed 25th July and Fri 27th July. Parents of interested players can come along and sign the players up, or get any other information they need about the tournament. Fees apply.
