Ballingarry

Tidy Towns - “BALLINGARRY PARISH” is having a weekend clean up challenge from Friday May 25th to Sunday May 27th.This will include all areas of the Parish. It is expected that each household, business and landowner will assist in supporting this,to the best of their ability. As the Tidy Towns Committee has very few members,it is impossible to get to every area and there is only so much that we can do.We will be able to assist by distributing rubbish bags, litter pickers and having the rubbish collected. Ballingarry Parish belongs to us all and this event can only be successful with the support of the Ballingarry Community Members. Photos from this event will be sent to RTE’s Show “Dirty Old Towns.

Just a reminder this is “National Volunteer Week” and Tidy Towns are looking for more volunteers to assist in the clean-up. Time is not on our side as judging commences on June 1st. Also, there is a meeting on this Friday night, May 18th, at 9 o’clock in Jimmy’s Bar. Any ideas or suggestions that you may have, please come along. Hopefully we will see some more people joining. We meet on Saturday mornings at 10 o’clock outside Martin Hanarahans house in the village and on Wednesday evenings at 6 o’ clock. Looking forward to seeing you all.
