Mobile Phones - Cloughjordan Fire Brigade are collecting old mobile phones. If they can collect 360 phones they will be able to secure a life saving defibrillator for the local community. All fire brigade members are trained to use the defibrillator and training will be provided for any of the local community who require it. Phones can be given to the local fire brigade or they can be dropped into the local schools.

Hurling - Kilruane MacDonaghs senior hurlers drew with Borrisoleigh in the North Championship last Sunday. Former Kilruane MacDonaghs player Thomas Williams played in goals with London hurlers who defeated Mayo in the Christy Ring Cup in London.

Heritage - Cloughjordan Heritage Group are holding a meeting on this Thursday, 17th May in Grace’s Bar at 8 p.m. Work will commence soon on publishing a book of photographs.
