New Exhibition Opens at the Source
On Thursday, 11th August a new exhibition, ‘Everything and the Kitchen Sink’ will open at the Source. Presented by Thurles Library, this exhibition features the work of Roisin O’Connell. Originally from the Commons, this is 20 year old Roisin’s first exhibition.
Roisin sets out to record the contrasts between childhood memories and today’s reality, whether it is grim and dark or better than realised. She records life as she knows it and life as it once was. In so doing she creates a sequence of events plucked from her mind.
As Roisin says, “Through life you bring these memories with you, packed away in the luggage of your mind, and will always have them – everything and the kitchen sink.”
The exhibition will be launched at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 11th August and will run until Thursday, 25th August. All are welcome.
