A fire which swept through the kitchen of Dundrum House Hotel, later spread to other areas, causing extensive damage to the ballroom.
The blaze started on Wednesday morning at 7am and engulfed a function room and kitchen. Some seven units of the Tipperary Fire Service from Tipperary town, Cashel, and Cahir had to be called to bring the blaze under control. Hotel Manager Noel Mulhair said the Hotel’s evacuation plan immediately swung into action to protect guests and staff.
