North Tipperary County Council will host a workshop in Nenagh on Saturday, November 16, on graffiti removal and prevention. The workshop with Keith Ellis of Smart Graffiti Solutions will be broken into two sessions, an informative talk and practical demonstration of graffiti removal

This workshop aims to improve the appearance of our environs by preventing and removing graffiti through community involvement and eradication.

Tips will be provided on how to deter graffiti and “tagging” of property. Issues discussed will include steps that a property owner can take to make property less attractive to taggers, ranging from the colour of the walls to the planting of shrubbery.

This will be an occasion for a real tutorial in graffiti removal and an opportunity to discuss the most successful strategies in combating graffiti. Graffiti is a crime and can be expensive to remove. Therefore the prevention of graffiti will be discussed throughout the workshop.

After the training has been completed, safe graffiti removal kits will be given to participants to help tackle any current and future graffiti issues.

The workshop runs from 10am to 12.30pm in Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh. Numbers are limited, so contact Deirdre Cox, environmental awareness officer, to book your place at deirdre.cox@tipperarycoco.ie or 067-44784.
