Roscrea Rugby - Leinster League IIs

This was a super win by a fine Roscrea side who ran the ball very well to claim a bonus point victory over Mullingar. Mullingar opened the scoring with a penalty but Roscrea got on top and took the lead with a try following a 5m lineout.

Dan Fitzpatrick made a great burst down the wing but was held up 10 metres short. A Roscrea scrum followed and Clive Greene burst through the defense to score near the posts. It was all Roscrea now and Kieran Comerford drove through the middle of the Mullingar defence. Ricky Delaney also with Brian Fitzgerald and Kieran Stone were making inroads into the Mullingar 22 but Mullingar weathered the storm. Dan Fitzpatrick and Adrian Phelan put in some great runs and Mullingar were stretched. Neil Foyle put in a super cross kick and Will Rymer did well to be up to score. Shane Morkham was next to score following a great forward drive. The try scoring was completed by a fine try from acting captain Paddy Walsh.
