Stepping up to the next level could describe Cashel’s U12 performance last Saturday. We split our boys into 2 teams and played Highfield in good quality games of rugby. Skills were good with high levels of passing, off loading in the tackle and taking the opposition on up front. Jaymes O Sullivan at hooker was linking very well in the line-out with Sean Kavanagh.
Will Hayes was classy at scrum half with Jack McGrath, Martin-Paul O’Dwyer and TJ Barron linking well with Ethan Molloy at out-half.
The twins of Finbarr and Diarmuid English were a constant treat. In our second team Eoghan Murphy, Conor O’Dwyer, Euan Ryan and Conor O’Neill were tackling to their high standard. Ross Whelan was playing well at scrum half and our forwards performed well in attack lead by Sean O’Neill supported by Padraig Brosan, Daniel Moloney and Shane Ryan. Tom Tobin was electric in the back line punching holes in the oppositions defence. Michael O’Brien, Bill Hayes and Tony O’Sullivan our team coaches on the day were pleased with proceeding.
