Nenagh railway station to mark 150th anniversary

Nenagh Railway Station will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its opening on 0ctober 12. And an appeal has now gone out to those with connactions to the line to take part in the event.

Nenagh Railway Station will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its opening on 0ctober 12. And an appeal has now gone out to those with connactions to the line to take part in the event.

Cllr Virginia O’Dowd of Nenagh Community Rail Partnership, which is co-ordinating the celebration with Irish Rail, is inviting those who worked on the line and their families, along with those who used the service over the years, to a meeting on Wednesday, September 11, in Nenagh Arts Centre at 8pm to discuss how to mark the celebration and to form a committee to co-ordinate the event.
