APPLEGREEN Service Areas Ltd. has appealed a decision by South Tipperary County Council to An Bord Pleanála regarding a major development in Cahir.

APPLEGREEN Service Areas Ltd. has appealed a decision by South Tipperary County Council to An Bord Pleanála regarding a major development in Cahir.

On March 5, the Council turned down plans by Applegreen for a new motorway service station with access to/from N24, incorporating a 3-pump island car/van forecourt and a 1-pump island HCV forecourt, along with a café/restaurant, for Cloghabreeda, Kedrah, Cahir.

Applegreen is joined as an appellant in the action by Thomas P. Meagher, care of Dr Michael MacNicholas, a Chartered Engineer and Traffic Planning Consultant with MacNicholas Consulting Ltd., Dublin. The appeal was lodged on March 22. A case decision is due on or before July 25th next.
