The present members of the Club think it only fitting that they should mark the event, to highlight our valuable contribution to Community Service in the Thurles region, over these years, also their involvement in many hugely beneficial humanitarian projects overseas. They can be rightly proud of these achievements and hope that future Thurles Rotarians can carry on this great tradition.

They are holding a Jubilee Dinner, at which it is hoped many of the former Presidents, and other members of the Rotary Club of Thurles over the years, will attend.

Thurles Rotary Club is also delighted to announce that Tipperary Native, John Lonergan, the ex Governor of Mountjoy Prison, has kindly accepted the invitation to be a Guest Speaker, on the night. John is quite outspoken on many important topical issues and is himself, a keen supporter of community service groups, including Rotary.

An open invitation is extended to all to attend on the night. Full details can be had from Thurles Rotary Club members or President Jonathan Gleeson.
