Munster Scór - Although Moyne Templetuohy had no success at the Munster Final of Scór Sinsear held at Our Lady’s School, Templemore on Saturday, 6th April, it was a great night for Tipperary with Sinéad Grant, Newcastle winning Solo Song; Noel Joyce, J.K. Brackens, Recitation; Newport the Ballad Group and to crown the evening Johnny Delaney’s dancers taking the top prize in Rince Fóirne. Well done to our Novelty Act group of Sharon Cantwell, Francis Cleere, Catherine Dunne, Wm. Maher, Mary Walsh and Eamon Travers who put up a fine display with ‘Judgement Day’ and our sincere thanks to Mikey Healy, Loughmore for his advice and expertise. Hard luck to our Quiz Team who always knew they were in for a tough battle. Our sincere thanks to Timmy & Delia Cullen for providing a welcoming venue for our practice sessions over many years and we wish them a long and happy retirement. Thanks also to our loyal supporters who attended at Templemore. Your support was very much appreciated. Best of luck to all the Tipperary representatives in the All-Ireland final which will be held in Derry on Saturday, 27th April.

Family Mass - Well done to the organisers of the Family Mass which was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Moyne on Sunday,7th April. Thanks also to Fr. Pat Murphy P.P. and a warm welcome back to our assistant pastor Fr. John O’Connell. There was a fine attendance at the ceremony which was greatly enhanced by the presence of Moyne Choir. The Family Mass will be celebrated at Moyne Church on the first Sunday of each month at 10am.

Mass Attendance - Because of the scarcity of priests it may be necessary to restrict the number of Masses celebrated in the near future. Numbers attending Mass at the weekends will be counted at both churches over the next few weeks to determine which ones may be discontinued.
