Computer Course – There will be a beginners and step-up computer courses in Cappawhite Adult Education Centre (Youthreach). They will commence on this Friday, 12th April at 10.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. for six weeks. Names to be given to Cecelia Walsh before Tuesday, 9th April.

Cappawhite N.S. - The Parents’ Association of Cappawhite N.S. would like to thank all those who recently supported their bag packing fund raiser in Tesco’s, Tipperary over Easter. A total of €1,107 was raised.

Scrap Metal Collection - An open day for scrap metal collection will be held at Grisewood’s Farm on Saturday, April 27th. Metal and electrical items can be dropped between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If anyone has any heavy items that need to be collected please contact Cappawhite N.S. on (062) 75363 or Shane Ryan, Centra on (062) 75122.

U/12B Boys Football - Cappawhite 1-0, Éire Óg Annacarty 2-2. Cappawhite travelled to Annacarty to contest the second round of the football competition on Thursday evening last. This was a thrilling game and there was nothing between the teams. Éire Óg led by a single point at the break. Cappa pulled back 2 points after the interval to take the lead. However the Annacarty lads replied with a goal with 5 minutes left to go 2 points ahead. Our U/12’s showed great determination and put over 3 fine points to win out the game by a single point. Well done to all. U/12B Boys Football - Cappawhite, 2-06, Rosegreen 0-1. Cappawhite hosted this first round football competition to Rosegreen on Tuesday evening last. The Hosts proved to be the stronger of these two teams and put in a fine display of team football. Rosegreen were unlucky not to put up more scores on the board and contested the game to the final whistle. Well done to all. Cappawhite panel and scorers were: Oscar Allen, Anthony Barry, Mikey O’Brien (1-01), Patrick Barry, Gearoid Ryan (0-2), Ryan Renehan, Aaron Renehan (0-2), Gearoid Lennon (1-1), Dara McCarthy, Gillanne Quirke, Philip Gantley, Jack Armshaw, Neil Clancy, Anthony Barry. The U/12 team mentors are Ger Ryan (B), Shane O’Brien and Martin McDermott.

U/14 Hurling - Cappawhite 1-04, Kickhams 2-9. Cappawhite were hoping for a result in this match after been beaten by Golden 1-11 to 4-07 on Wednesday last. Cappawhite hosted this second round hurling competition to Kickhams on Saturday afternoon last however the opposition again proved to be that bit stronger on the day. This is a good bunch so heads up lads and keep on with the training. The Cappawhite panel and scorers were: Ryan Renehan, Philip Gantley, Brendan Murphy, Fionn Brady, William Barry, Robbie Quirke, Patrick Barry, Fraser Allen (0-1), Cian Ryan, Aaron Renehan, David Murphy (0-1), Dara McCarthy, Jerry Hayes, Colm O’Dwyer (1-01), Gearóid Ryan (0-1). Subs: Anthony Barry, Cian Murray and Séan Ralph.

The U/14 team mentors are George Kelly, Noel Kelly and Michelle Murphy.

U/16 Ladies Football - Cappawhite 1-04, Moycarkey 1-04. The Cappa girls travelled to Littleton on Easter Monday last to contest the final 4th round of this A/B competition. To date we have lost 2 matches and won 1. The girls were determined to put in a good display after having suffered a heavy defeat to Cahir on the previous Friday. Cappawhite trailed by two points at the break. Fairplay to the girls they fought back in the second half to draw the game and were unlucky not to win it in the finish. All team members are asked to attend training on Thursdays from 6.30 to 7.30. Cappawhite team are: Lauren Hayes, Shannon Breheny, Katelyn Fleming, Sinead White, Ornaith Hennessy, Aoife Lennon, Jean Kelly (1-03), Elaine Kelly, Sarah O’Brien, Eibhlis McDonald (0-1), Sarah Pollack, Aishling Buckley and Shauna Ryan. The mentors are: Marguerite Maher, Michelle Breheny, Kieran Devery and Séamus Lennon.
