Intermediate Hurling - On Sunday last in Killea, Clonakenny played their final group game of the County Intermediate Hurling League v Arravale Rovers. With the aid of the wind in the first half Clonakenny built up a big lead by half time and continued to dominate in the second half going on to win on a scoreline of Clonakenny 4-19, Arravale Rovers 0-6. Clonakenny should now qualify for the semi-final playoff at least and it could be a semi-final depending on other results in the group. Clonakenny would like to extend a sincere thanks to Killea for the use of their facilities and also to O’Sullivans for the soup and sandwiches which were very welcome on such a cold day.

Junior ‘B’ Hurling - On Sunday evening last Clonakenny played their first game in the Mid Tipp. Junior Hurling League Div. 3. This was a great game of hurling with both teams dominating periods of the game. But a late goal from Killea clinched victory for them. Final Score Killea 4-11, Clonakenny 3-13. Clonakenny’s next game in this competition will take place this weekend against Gortnahoe Glengoole. See Mid Fixtures
