Cloughjordan

Sale of Work - The Kilruane MacDonaghs Sale of Work was held last Sunday in the G.A.A. Complex in Cloughjordan. It was by far the biggest ever Sale of Work held by the club. Auctioneer Jim Casey had a very busy day selling 127 trailers of timber, farm produce and several items of furniture. Indoors, the Wheel of Fortune drew a big crowd. There were also stalls selling second hand books, home baking and bric-a-brac. There was plenty of entertainment for children also with face painting, pedal karting, pony and trap rides and hurling shooting. It is expected that the proceeds from the Sale of Work will be about €30,000.
