Thurles Scouts

As you can see from the attached photograph, taken in the National Water Activity Centre in Killaloe the scouts had a great day on the Shannon as part of the summer camp. A full and more detailed article will appear later in the year. David Brown one of our cub leaders has been involved in organising and motivating the cubs to complete the Chief Scout’s award before the end of November. This is a challenging part of our programme for all cubs in the last year as a cub, 11 to 12 years old. All of our cubs have taken to this challenge with enthusiasm and energy. WELL DONE.

Our beavers started back on Mon 10 September in the band Hall at the usual time. All 6 to 8 year olds are invited to join us and we have planned an exciting and entertaining programme form Sept to Christmas.

Thurles scouts would like to express our thanks and appreciation to North Tipperary Vocational Education Committee for all their support, both financial and in training. This support has allowed us to give a better and more varied programme to our members.
