Ballingarry Tidy Towns - The Tidy Towns received a total of 192 marks out of 400. A Sincere thanks to all those involved in the Committee, without your efforts Ballingarry would not have been recognised in this competition. In order to enter in next years competition and to aim for higher marks, we will be working during the Winter. The Parish belongs to everybody so we would appreciate if more people became involved. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing many new faces joining the team.

Parish Journal - Its Parish Journal time again and the committee are asking anyone with a story to tell, perhaps a journey they made, poetry, obituaries for loved ones who passed away during the year. Old & New good quality photographs, Wedding, Graduations etc., relating to the parish, please give them to any committee member as soon as possible to be considered for inclusion or Emailballingarryparishjournal.com. Bible Study – A 24-week DVD Bible study will take place in Urlingford towards end of September and finish at Easter 2013.  Once a week and one night at home.  Venue and cost to be confirmed.  It will cover the old and new testaments and is divided into 12 colour-coded time periods to simplify it. Once we get a grasp of the “big picture”, the Mass readings begin to make more sense and our scripture reading and study come to life.  For further information contact Cathleen Shortall at cathshort@eircom.net or 056-8831061.

Millennium Family Resource Centre – Names are now being taken for Fetac Level 4 Applied Employment Skills Course. If you are in receipt of a social welfare payment and are interested in participating in this course please contact the Centre on (052) 9157992. Credit Union - Ballingarry Credit Union is open every Friday night from 7.30 – 9 p.m. New Members welcome.

Hip Hop Classes - In Ballingarry Community Centre on Monday evening for Girls U/10 @ 4.30pm and for Girls over 10 @ 5.30pm and for Boys of all ages @ 5.30pm. Classes cost €5 per child. Please come along to a great evening of fun and dance.

Fab Fitness Classes - Started back Monday, 3rd September.  Resume in Mullinahone Community Hall on Monday mornings 9.30 and Ballingarry Community Hall, Thursday evenings 8pm. These are circuit training classes, suitable for all levels of fitness,  Bring towel/mat and bottle of water. €7 per class. Contact Biddy O’Dwyer (087) 6410352 NCEF, Fitness Instructer.
