Our President, Darren Russell’s Outing will take place at Nenagh Golf Club this coming Saturday 23/07/2011. Tee Box reserved from 11.00 a.m. – 12.15. Timesheet in operation and is on display in Templemore Golf Clubhouse. Members can respond to text or contact any committee member with preferred time. Presentation in Tom Mahers Inn that night at 10.00 p.m.


Patrons please note Progressive 25 on Sunday night 24 July is cancelled due to Mid Final in Templetouhy.

Tidy Towns

The Tidy Towns working group invite residents in the Richmond area to join them on Monday July 25th at 7.00 pm for a general tidy-up. Volunteers to meet at Abbey entrance and it is encouraging for the committee when locals show an interest in keeping their own area attractive and well presented.

Lakeside Pitch & Putt

Five of our ladies from Lakeside recently took part in three grades of the Munster Ladies Strokeplay. After 18 holes in the inter grade Bridget Shelly was in second place, two under par, with Mary Quinn on level par. At the finish Mary held her level par score to finish in second place. Well done Mary and a good performance from Bridget also.

The Templemore Jewellers competition has been completed with Ronan Loughnane emerging the winner. 72 o/a net winner Paddy Murray, first 54 o/a gross Michael Fennell with Ian Delahunty in the runner-up slot.

Grade prizes: Mary Quinn, Seamus Ryan, Alan Maher, Michael Bourke. The event was kindly sponsored by Pauline Coonan and the presentation will be arranged shortly.

The next event is the Paul and Breda Brophy sponsored team event, so get your teams in place please.

Summer Camp

A Pitch and Putt Summer Camp will be held in Lakeside August 8th- 12th. Entry is E50 per child, E40 for two and application forms can be had from Ronan Loughnane – mobile 087 7931721. This is a great opportunity to have a fun five days on your own course with competitions and coaching included.

Don’t forget the Captain’s Prize will be held on Saturday 30th July 2011. Registered members only.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock

St Colmcille’s Boys Primary School

The Parents Association would like to thank Liam & Marie Marie O’Connell (Centra) for letting us do a Bag Packing Day recently in their shop

This money goes to the school to help with the Book Rental Scheme. We will be holding a Church Gate Collection on August 13th/14th. We need some parents to help out for this collection – if available please contact Mary O’Shea.

Well done to the U/11 and U/13 on winning the County Final Hurling in Thurles recently.

Congratulations to Mick Carey on a very successful weekend played in atrocious conditions. Well done to all of the winners, in particular Dinny Maher on capturing the much coveted Captain’s prize.
