Bournea Parish Group of Ireland XO Reaching Out are pleased to announce that Prof William J.Smyth will be coming to Lismackin Hall on May 13. He will be speaking on “The Great Famine 1845-52 in Bournea Parish and District”. We will have further details in the coming weeks. All are welcome to attend.
Clonakenny I.C.A. held their AGM on Wed night last 2nd April. The chief positions are President Mary Hennessy, Secretary Brid Murray and Treasurer Nora Byrne.
On Fri 4th April 9 our members attended a dinner in the Abbey Court Hotel with all of the Nth Tipp Guilds, where the National President Liz Wall presented the ladies with certs for long years’ service to I.C.A.
Dancing classes continue in Clonmore every Wed night. Upcoming events in our guild; walk for Brest Cancer in May, bowling in Portlaoise and a summer outing. We welcome new member Catherine Burke to our guild and extend a warm welcome to any ladies out there who wish to join us.

Pilgrimage To Holy Land with Fr.Celsus Tierney CC Holycross as Spiritual Director will take place from September 29th to October 7th. Cost is €1,295.00 per person sharing. Booking forms from Fr.Celsus at 0504-43118.
Volunteers collected E4,783 for the Cancer Society. A big thank you to all the volunteers and those who donated so generously on the day.
St Cualans Social club are going on their annual trip to Mount St. Joseph Monastery in Roscrea on Saturday April 12th. Bus leaving the square at 2pm approx.
