‘Rocky’ warns Tipp council potholes going to come ‘hard and fast’

Potholes are going to come “hard and fast as we have been told to expect a hard winter”, Cllr John “Rocky” McGrath told Newport area council.

Potholes are going to come “hard and fast as we have been told to expect a hard winter”, Cllr John “Rocky” McGrath told Newport area council.

He urged the council to continue to maintain roads around Ballymackeogh, despite the fact that all works have been done this year.

Cllr John Carroll claimed that subsidence at Kilmastulla was causing flooding problems for landowners, while Cllr Jonathan Meaney said there was also flooding on Ballina’s main street.

Meanwhile, Cllr Mattie Ryan was told Rearcross’s main street was not in the roads programme, but there was funding for work at Cappagh.
