Dromineer Boat Club raises funds for local lifeboat station

The volunteers at Lough Derg RNLI lifeboat station have thanked the members of Nenagh Boat Club, who, following their annual fundraising for the lifeboats, presented their local RNLI with a cheque for €600.

Lough Derg Lifeboat operations manager, Liam Maloney, commended the efforts of the boat club saying that he acknowledged the members who organise an annual fundraising event specifically to raise funds for their local lifeboat.

Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat Station is looking to recruit new volunteers. No previous boating experience is required, training is provided, to the highest standard. If you are interested in becoming involved in your local lifeboat come down to the station on the grounds of Lough Derg Yacht Club in Dromineer any Sunday from 9.30am, or contact 087-2514517.
