On Saturday last in Templetuohy, Conor Clancy and Aidan Buckley helped South Tipperary U/16 hurlers to victory over Mid Tipperary in the semi-final of the Garda Cup Inter Divisional Hurling Competition. Both Conor and Aidan lined out in the final against North Tipperary. Unfortunately the exertions of the semi-final had taken too much out of the South team whereas the North were relatively fresh after an easy win over West Tipperary in their semi-final and the North won well in the final and collected the cup. Well done to Conor who lined out at midfield and Aidan who was

picked at wing forward but spent some of the time partnering Conor at midfield. Cathal Mahoney had been selected at centre half back but was unable to line out due to injury. On the May bank holiday weekend we hope to see the three lads lining out for South Tipperary in the Munster U/16 competition.

St. Patrick’s Senior G.A.A. club monthly meeting will be held at Anner Park Cloneen on Monday next, 29th April at 9pm.

Congratulations to our recent winners in the Co. Tipperary G.A.A. Draw; Michael & Chrissie Nash and Liz Lonergan. The 2012-13 draw is now ending and we thank all who supported it over the last 12 months. The 2013-14 draw will commence shortly and we ask for your continued support.

Two recent additions to the Co. Limerick Senior Camogie Panel are Jane and Aoife Wilson of Caherdavin, Limerick who are the twin daughters of Seamus Wilson formerly of Rathkenny. Jane & Aoife are only 17 but have won many honours for both their club Na Piarsaigh and various Limerick under age teams with whom they have been playing for several years. We wish them both continued success in their club and county careers.
