Two-Mile Borris Community Development Group - Are hosting a ‘Spring Clean Day’ on Saturday, 27th April.

The areas to be covered will include the main village, estates, and all approach roads within approx. 2 miles of the village. Tasks will include litter picking, weeding, planting, stone spreading and more. We will meet at 10am at the Community Hall and the clean-up will take place between 10am and 1pm. In the interest of health and safety high visibility jackets, litter sacks, litter pickers and gloves will be available. All are welcome to participate so please come out and get involved in making our area a cleaner and more attractive place to live. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The Late John O’Meara - The death has taken place on Sunday, 14th April (suddenly) of John (Jacko) O’Meara, The Village, Two-Mile-Borris. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Corcoran). The news of his death spread quickly throughout the parish and further afield caused deep sadness with everyone which leaves two young daughters without their parents. His remains were removed from his residence on Wednesday morning to St. James’ Church for 11.30am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the local cemetery. Chief celebrant was Fr. Joe Tynan C.C. assisted by Fr. George Bourke P.P.; Fr. Tom Lanigan Ryan, Thurles; Fr. Pat Murphy P.P. Templetuohy; Fr. Martin Murphy P.P. Drom & Inch; Fr. Christy O’Dwyer, Dean of Cashel; Fr. Phil Barry S.C.A.; Fr. Gerard Hennessy, Thurles and Fr. Paudie Moloughney Kiltegan Fathers. Deeply mourned by his daughters Katherine and Niamh, parents Michael and Chrissie, brothers Michael and Eddie, sister Helen, mother-in-law Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Month’s Mind Mass - The Month’s Mind Mass for Tommy Maher, Ballydavid will take place on this Saturday evening, 27th April at 7.30pm in St, Kevin’s Church, Littleton.

The Late Joe Ryan - The death has taken place recently of Joseph (Joe) Ryan Rodney, 91 Kingland Road, Paliston, London formerly of Noard. Burial on this Thursday, 25th April after Requiem Mass in the City of London Cemetery, Aldersbrook Road, Manor Park 11 London. May he rest in peace.

Collection - The Irish Cancer Society will hold their annual church gate collection this weekend 27th and 28th April. Your support appreciated.
