May Procession - The Sodality also wishes to announce that the annual May Procession will take place on Sunday, 12th May after 11am Mass in Knockavilla. First Holy Communion will be in Donaskeigh on the previous day. Knockavilla children will have had their day earlier.

Congratulations and good wishes go to all the children together with the hope that the weather will relent for the occasion.

Text Alert - Much ado about the advent of Text Alert in our area and the singing of praises thereof. Not everyone is impressed however, especially the residents of Upper Bishopswood which appears to be overlooked. No sign on a two mile stretch of backward country side from the parish boundary to Minister’s Cross through Hickey’s Cross. One sign indicating our concern of a neighbouring parish. This unsigned area has elderly people living alone. Homes which are unattended in day time, young families, people who are vulnerable in poor health and have been targeted in the past. Now the plan is to “go google”. We would respectfully ask that these householders be asked if they wish to have their premises googled and give permission to have their homes mapped out by google. We think all will not. The publicity would no be to our advantage.
