Excellent opportunity for tourism trade to work together

South Tipperary Tourism Company are organising two familiarisation trips to offer people working in tourism the chance to promote their services while familiarising themselves with other tourism services and attractions available close by.

South Tipperary Tourism Company are organising two familiarisation trips to offer people working in tourism the chance to promote their services while familiarising themselves with other tourism services and attractions available close by.

This is an excellent opportunity for the tourism trade to work together to share ideas and create linkages and packages that will appeal to tourists both nationally and internationally. These familiarisation trips are open to anyone working in the trade who has interaction with tourists in South Tipperary such as accommodation providers, tourist office personnel, attraction personnel such as the staff at the racecourses, local restaurants, publicans, museum and heritage site staff etc.

The first trip will focus on the Golden Vale of Tipperary and will take place on Thursday June 13th departing from the South Tipperary Development Company office, Carrigeen Business Park, Cahir at 9.30am. This trip will visit Tipperary Racecourse, Marl Bog, Killenure Castle and Holycross Abbey.

The second trip entitled ‘M8 Adventures’ will take place on Wednesday June 19th departing from Brú Ború Cultural Centre Car Park, Cashel at 9.30am. This trip will visit Mitchelstown Caves, Galtee Extreme Adventures, Glengarra Wood, Dualla and Cashel.

These familiarisation trips will be subsidised by South Tipperary Tourism Company making them available at the credit crunch price of only €10 per person per trip including lunch.
