Ballingarry Tidy Towns - will hold a meeting in Jimmy’s Bar on Friday, September 28th @ 8.30pm. The aim of this meeting is to analyse our recent report from the Tidy Towns competition, and to implement a plan for next year’s competition. We would appreciate more support and welcome any ideas or suggestions that you may have. Please come along to this meeting. Old School, The Commons - Step Dancing classes take place in the school on Friday evenings from 5pm to 6pm at €3 per child. Adult Set Dancing will begin on Monday, October 1st from 9pm to 10.30pm. Beginners are always welcome. Guitar Lesson times are as follows on Friday evenings. Juniors from 5 to 6 pm and Adults from 6 to 7 pm. Again beginners are very welcome. If you would like to book the school for meetings or get-togethers please drop in any morning to make a booking.
Ballingarry Friends of Cystic Fibrosis - Ballingarry C.F. are holding a Sponsored Horse Ride and Walk, on behalf of Tipperary Branch of C.F. in Kilcooley Estate, near Urlingford, on Sunday, 14th October at 12.30 pm sharp. Sponsorship Cards are in circulation throughout the area, you are asked to be generous in your response. All insurances and Garda permits are in place. There will be refreshments available on the day. There will be 2 separate courses – 1 for walkers and 1 for horses and ponies, and both will be marshalled by members of Ballingarry Civil Defence and members of our group, and a Civil Defence Ambulance / 1st Aid Unit will also be in attendance. Tickets will be on sale on the day for a huge Raffle, the draw for which will take place on the Sunday night at “Jimmy’s” in Ballingarry. Parish Journal - Its Parish Journal time again and the committee are asking anyone with a story to tell, perhaps a journey they made, poetry, obituaries for loved ones who passed away during the year. Bible Study – A 24-week DVD Bible study will take place in Urlingford towards end of September and finish at Easter 2013. Once a week and one night at home. Venue and cost to be confirmed. It will cover the old and new testaments and is divided into 12 colour-coded time periods to simplify it. Once we get a grasp of the “big picture”, the Mass readings begin to make more sense and our scripture reading and study come to life.
