The death occurred on March 1st of Pat Kavanagh, Lacey Avenue Templemore. Pat died in the Regional Hospital Limerick following a short illness.
A native of Roscrea, Pat was well known both there and in Templemore where he lived for many years.
He was a great musician and loved music. He played the drums for many years with the Jim Kennedy Band travelling all over the country.
He worked in the meat factory in Roscrea for many years. His remains reposed in Grey’s Funeral Home where many people turned out to pay their last respects. Following Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart Templemore, Pats remains were taken to the local cemetery for burial. Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Mai, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
