Hurling - Kilruane MacDonaghs, the reigning North and County U/21 champions were beaten last Saturday in the North Championship by Burgess. Most of last Saturdays panel were involved in the winning of the 2010 County final when they beat Thurles Sarsfields in a memorable County final in January 2011. They bowed out of this year’s campaign without reaching the heights they are capable of. Thanks to the panel of players and mentors for their efforts during the year.

Camogie - Well done to the Kilruane MacDonaghs Camogie team who qualified for the County Junior final by beating Kildangan last Sunday.

Football - Thomas MacDonaghs Senior football team qualified for the County semi-final after beating J.K. Brackens last Sunday. Well done to our local players who lined out, Stephen Murphy, Niall Murphy, Freddie Williams, Niall O’Meara and Brian O’Meara. Pat Murphy was one of the selectors with the team.

Thanks - Pat Shanahan would like to thank all who contributed to his Coffee Morning in aid of the Niall Mellon Township Trust. A total of 780 euro was raised. Next month Pat will travel to South Africa to construct houses in the townships. Pat is also very involved with the Kilruane MacDonaghs Club and was a selector on the U/21 team that won the 2010 County final. We wish Pat every success in his work in South Africa.
