Fit4life 4 mile Track and Trail Run
Templemore Fit4life are organising a 4 mile run in the Town Park on Sunday, 11th September, 2011 at 2pm. The run will start on the athletic track and then follow a trail through the Park - alongside the lake and through the woods before finishing back at the track. This is a flat course and has been accurately measured by Athletics Ireland Officials. Registration, changing rooms, refreshments and presentation of prizes will all take place at the athletic track. Entry fee is 10 euro. It has been many years since a run has been held in Templemore and we hope this event will see a great turnout in what was once a very popular town for running. We are encouraging all joggers and runners, particularly from the town, to take to the start line on September the 11th for what will be a very enjoyable and fun afternoon. We also encourage all our Fit4life members to participate.
So with just over 5 weeks remaining to this event, get on your runners and get out, get fit and get moving.

Alliance of the Two Hearts Vigil
We were delighted to welcome new faces from both far (Killenaule) and near to the vigil last month and pray that all got home safely. And many thanks to Fr. Patrick Cahill, Family of Mary for being with us, and for sharing some inspiring and comforting words with us in his homily.
This Friday 5th August is the First Friday. The Vigil for the Alliance of the Two Hearts will commence with Holy Mass at 7p.m. in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Templemore, and continue in the Cannon Noonan Centre at 7.30p.m starting with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary. Holy Mass for the First Saturday will be celebrated at 12.05a.m. and we are delighted to welcome back Fr. Tom Ryan, Murroe, to be our celebrant. The usual cup of tea will be served at 10.30p.m., followed by Confessions. Jesus makes us a proposal: give Me all your troubles, worries, hurts and crosses “Come to Me all you who labour and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest”, and in exchange for our ‘burdens’, all He asks is (1) “Pray/stay here with Me for one hour”; (2) have Faith ‘Trust Me’ and (3) look after the people in your life. So do come along after Holy Mass in your own parish church, all are welcome, especially new faces.
