Boherlahan Dualla

Congratulations: We wish to congratulate and send our best wishes to Fr. Martin Ryan on his recent Diamond Jubilee of his Ordination to Priesthood. Fr. Martin, who hails from the Boreen Caol, Castlemoyle, Boherlahan was ordained on 19th May 1951 on Pentacost Saturday of that year in Holycross College, Clonliffe by Archbishop John Charles McQuaid. Sixteen men from the Dublin diocese were ordained that day and the sixty years have passed by so quickly. Seven priests still survive to this day and are in retirement. Fr. Martin retired from Clondalkin after twenty years as Parish Priest there and returned to Cashel with failing eyesight and also to be nearer his family who live in the surrounds of Cashel. On retiring and settling back in to Cashel, Fr. Martin frequented Boherlahan, Dualla, Rosegreen and Cashel for many events. Fr. Martin is enjoying retired life and particularly enjoying GAA successes in the county over the last twelve months with Tipperary Seniors and U21s doing so well.Dualla Community Association: Dualla Community Association are hosting a Monster Barndance and BBQ on Sunday 5th June. We are seeking volunteers from the Community and from those who are involved in the Community Field. Meetings to prepare for the event are held every Monday at 8.30pm in the Community Hall, Dualla. All are welcome to attend.
